Offensive subjects (elaborate): Not really, but I haven't experienced all subjects ICly yet! I will contact you if something becomes uncomfortable for me!

Hugging this character: Mmmmmaybe! Mettaton holds people at arm's length nowadays (pun intended), but if he comes to trust you, he does indeed give good hugs!
Kissing this character: Maybe? Kisses are neat, but he's a little more introverted than he used to be. It'll take time.
Flirting with this character: Indirectly, yes! In person, trust issues. He'll try to figure out where this is going first.
Fighting with this character: Yes. He can fight. He has many available abilities with which to fight, so I would deeply suggest reading the powers in his app!
Injuring this character (include limits and severity): Discuss with me first, but more than likely, anything's fine! Damage to his body is fixable, but the discussion would be wrt anything that could harm his Soul Gem, therefore his SOUL.
Killing this character: Let's talk about this one before we move forward with anything, both because I enjoy death plots and because Mettaton is a bit tough to kill.
Using telepathy/mind reading abilities on this character: If the abilities can conceivably work on a robot or ghost, go for it! Give me a heads up if you can tho.
IC Offensive subjects: Mettaton's triggers are pretty basic; Frisk (which may not even come up), and to a degree, any willful misgendering.
Mettaton is also extremely protective of his friends and if you're not nice to them, you are asking for a bot to possibly gossip aggressively about you and probably also attempt to break your bones or something.
Additionally, Mettaton's uncomfortable with the word "unforgivable", especially as applied to him. It's not really a hard trigger, but it does remind him of something extremely unpleasant which affects his worldview.
Finally, Mettaton has some distrust of humans in general after Soulgemmed (also due to his canonpoint being the Genocide Route), and will likely trend towards negative CR with people who are deliberately looking to push his buttons or cause trouble. He'll also question motives a lot; basically it'll take him some time to establish trust in general.

Mettaton is more the kind of guy who will tell you stuff in person, but if he does text, he has the frequent habit of doing so in FULLY CAPITALIZED COURIER (NEW) FONT WITH AN EXCESS OF EXCLAMATION POINTS!!!
As I am aware this can cause some visual discomfort, please let me know if you would rather opt out of this obnoxious texting medium! I can have him text in the usual format (just in courier new and proper capitalization, with minimal punctuation).
In addition, as per his CRAU, Mettaton has developed some potentially problematic habits. These include self-deprecation, and in what I hope to be very rare instances discussion of fatalism and suicidal ideation. This is a FORMAL CONTENT WARNING on the matter. The last two should only come up in as much as they reference a specific event in Soulgemmed; I will not press these matters onto anyone without proper content warnings or discussion prior.
